QAA Terms and Conditions for face-to-face training and e-learning courses
The following constitute the Terms and Conditions to which applicants agree when booking any QAA face-to-face training or e-learning courses (Terms and Conditions). QAA reserve the right to review and update these periodically. Please read these terms carefully before you submit your registration for a face-to-face training or e-learning course. Once your submission is accepted a contract between you and QAA is formed.

Registration and booking
1 Registration with QAA (creating an account)
Before booking onto a face-to-face training or e-learning course you are required to register and create an account, providing certain personal information. By doing this, you agree to:
provide true, accurate, current and complete information regarding yourself as prompted by the relevant registration form
maintain and promptly update the data provided by logging into your account and updating via 'My profile'.
2 Booking a face-to-face training or e-learning course.
Face-to-face training and e-learning courses can be booked via the QAA website. As stated in Clause 1 above, registration with QAA is required before any course can be booked, as log-in details are required to be created.
QAA contracts the YMCA e-learning marketplace to host all its online training courses. When you register a booking for an online course, your registration represents an offer to YMCA to book you onto the course you selected.
YMCA will accept your offer by entering your booking onto the QAA system; you will then receive an email confirming that you have been booked, together with information on starting your learning.
3 Prices, discounts and sales taxes/VAT
Notice of new pricing will be given in advance, but QAA reserve the right to change prices listed without notice.
Discounts are available on e-learning training courses subject to eligibility. To discuss these, please contact QAA direct via the contact details listed above.
Fees must be paid at the point of booking via PayPal's secure online payment process. Any applicable discount code must be entered at the time of booking, as the discount cannot be applied retrospectively. Payment is not accepted by instalments, but invoices can be generated for fees on courses of 10 people and above.

5 Prevailing Terms and Conditions
Please note that this and all other QAA pre-contractual documentation shall not constitute an offer. All services provided by QAA are based on these Terms and Conditions only.
6 QAA Learning Academy face-to-face training courses
The face-to-face training course fees include: tuition on the day(s), all relevant course materials in hard copy only (under no circumstances will electronic versions be provided, before, during or after the training course), refreshments and lunch.
6.1 Ownership and intellectual property rights
All QAA learning materials, whether online or at a training day, are owned by QAA. All intellectual property rights in all materials available, including the design, graphics and text of all printed materials, and the audio of all webinars and podcasts, are owned by QAA. No learning content may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed or linked in any way, in whole or in part, without QAA's prior permission in writing. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of QAA's intellectual property rights.
All copyright of written work produced during the course of providing the training, online or face to face, shall vest in QAA. The contract does not confer any rights for you to make use of the QAA logo and/or trademarks without the express permission of QAA in writing.
6.2 Special requirements at the face-to-face training course
QAA will make every effort to accommodate special requirements that have been notified at the time of registering on the booking form.
6.3 Health and safety at the face-to-face training course
All health and safety rules and regulations, together with any other reasonable security requirements pertaining to the premises at which the training courses are conducted, must be adhered to.
6.4 Invitation letters
If an invitation letter from QAA is required, this can be provided after full payment of the training course fee has been received. QAA is not able to act on behalf of the participant, and is not responsible for any costs incurred by failure to obtain a full visa.
QAA reserves the right to remove any delegate from a training course whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate by QAA or its trainers. In these circumstances, QAA will neither refund nor reimburse any fees or any other costs incurred.
QAA shall provide such course trainers to present the training course as it, in its sole discretion, deems fit. QAA shall be entitled at any time to substitute any course trainer with any other person who, in QAA's sole discretion, it deems suitably qualified to present the relevant course.
QAA does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information in, or views expressed on, its training courses, including course materials. Opinions expressed are those of individual course trainers and not necessarily those of QAA.
7 QAA Learning Academy e-learning courses
Once booked onto an e-learning course, access will be given to QAA's Learning Academy on the terms of the license referred to below. By using the Learning Academy, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
While every effort is made to keep changes to the site to a minimum, QAA reserve the right to make any amendments to the Terms and Conditions at any time, to reflect business changes, including, but not limited to, changes in technology, payment methods, and legal and regulatory requirements. By continuing to use this site you agree to accept any changes made to the Terms and Conditions.
7.1 Ownership and intellectual property rights
All Learning Academy materials are owned by QAA. All intellectual property rights in all materials available from the Learning Academy, including the design, graphics and text of all printed materials and the audio of all webinars and podcasts, are owned by QAA. When access is given to the Learning Academy, a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Learning Academy materials is granted. No Learning Academy content may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed or linked in any way, in whole or in part, without QAA's prior permission. Log-in details are for your own personal use and may not be accessed by a second person. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of QAA's intellectual property rights.
QAA does not warrant that the provision of any content online will always be available or be uninterrupted, timely or error free, that defects will be corrected or that such content is secure or free from bugs, viruses, errors and omissions.
QAA does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information in, or views expressed on, its training courses, including course materials. Opinions expressed are those of individual course trainers and not necessarily those of QAA. Participants should take professional advice when dealing with specific situations.
8.1 Cancellation of a face-to-to face training course
Cancellation of a face-to-face training course needs to be received in writing (email or post) not less than 28 days before the start date of a course, when a 50 per cent refund will be issued. Refunds will be processed with 28 days of receiving your request via bank transfer to the original payer.
If a cancellation is due to a declined visa, a full refund can be issued on proof of that declined visa if at least 28 days' notice is given.
If cancellation is less than 28 days before the start date of a course, no refund will be issued but a substitute person can be accepted. Substitutions should be notified to QAA in writing at least 48 hours prior to the course start date. No refunds are given in the event of a failure to attend the course without giving prior notice to QAA.
8.2 Cancellation of an e-learning course
Once booked, an e-learning course or package fee is non-refundable and the booking non-transferrable.
How we may use your personal information
QAA will use the personal information provided by you to:
supply the training
process your payment for the training
inform you regarding similar training that can be provided (authority to provide this information is agreed at order process).
QAA may pass on your personal information to credit reference agencies.
QAA will only give personal information to third parties where the law either requires or allows it to do so.
